All musicians are part of one cohesive group, regardless of Mass time, age or musical style. This mirrors how many become one in the MPB community. All active ministers rehearse together on Monday nights and use the same music repertoire and schedule. If it gets people singing and strengthens our faith…then we sing it! Musicians may assist at any Mass based on their preference and it may vary from week to week. This creates a flexible team that supports one another and can easily combine for special liturgies and concerts.
The music at MPB reflects the diversity of our global community, the rich history of the Church and the vibrant music of today. It is informed by the readings each weekend, the seasons of the Church year and the joys and challenges of our community. MPB music repertoire includes traditional hymns, favorites influenced by the folk guitar era, gospel styles, contemporary praise music, multicultural music, choral and instrumental masterpieces and even music composed by our pastor, Fr.
