Faith Formation

Faith formation at an early age is essential for a child’s growth and development as lifelong Christians. We encourage families to enroll children in grade-level classes starting in Pre-School. It becomes a natural part of their lives to learn about, develop a relationship with, and worship the Trinitarian God who loves them. Please do not wait until your child enters 2nd grade and begins to prepare to receive the sacraments – there is so much to learn that it is beneficial to have a strong foundation of faith that begins at birth at home and is then strengthened through participation in Religious Education classes. We welcome students who attend Catholic schools and want to build community relationships with their St. Jude “Church family” as well. We encourage you to enroll all Pre-School through 5th students each year and then join our Youth Groups for Jr. High and High School!

Seeds of Faith is a program for preschoolers and kindergartners to engage their faith through hands on learning and story-telling. This group will meet weekly on Sundays immediately after the 11am Mass in the Holy Family House and last 45 minutes. This program kicks-off on September 14.

Elementary classes (1st – 5th grade) will meet on Wednesdays from 6:15pm-7:30pm in Holy Family House. These classes meet weekly, following the school calendar. A calendar will be provided on the first day of class, September 10, 2025. Parents are asked to attend the first 15 minutes of the kick-off class.

All of our groups (Seeds of Faith, Religious Education, and Youth Groups) are $50 per student and an additional $60 for sacrament preparation. Families have a $220 cap. These fees help pay for the books and other supplies for our classes. St. Jude never wants finances to be a reason that students do not participate in our programs. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the office for
financial aid and scholarships.
